Official Rules

NO PURCHASE, DONATION, OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.

A PURCHASE, DONATION, OR PAYMENT WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. ALL FEDERAL, STATE, LOCAL, AND MUNICIPAL LAWS AND REGULATIONS APPLY. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.

1. Eligibility: This sweepstakes is open to all legal residents of Minnesota. Entrants must be at least 18 years old as of their date of entry in the promotion in order to qualify. Sweepstakes and giveaways are subject to applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited by law.
2. Sponsorship. The sponsor is Sports Betting Alliance (“Sponsor”), located at 2200 Wilson Blvd, Suite 102-243, Arlington, VA 22201. Sponsor will conduct the Sweepstakes substantially as described in these Official Rules.
3. Sweepstakes Entry Period: Promotion begins on November 19, 2024 at 11:59 pm ET and ends on December 2, 2024 at 11:59 pm ET.
4. How to Enter: Eligible entrants can enter the Sweepstakes by providing the information required by the Sponsor in support of legalizing online sports betting in Minnesota, thereby agreeing to receive future communications from the Sports Betting Alliance.
5. Limitations on Entries. 1 entry per email.
6. Prizes: 1 winner(s) will receive two tickets to the Minnesota Vikings vs. Chicago Bears game on Monday, December 16, 2024: (approximate retail value: $450)

   Only one prize per person and per household will be awarded. Gift cards and gift certificates are subject to the terms and conditions of the issuer. Prizes cannot be transferred, redeemed for cash or substituted by winner. If the actual value of the prize turns out to be less than the stated approximate retail value, the difference will not be awarded in cash. Sponsor makes no representation or warranty concerning the appearance, safety or performance of any prize awarded. Restrictions, conditions, and limitations may apply. Sponsor will not replace any lost or stolen prize items. Sponsor is not responsible or liable for any warranties, representations, or guarantees relative to the Grand Prize provided by a prize supplier. Winner is solely responsible for federal, state, and local taxes associated with the Grand Prize if applicable. Failure to comply with the Official Rules will result in forfeiture of the prize.

7. Odds: The total number of eligible entries received determines the odds of winning.
8. Selection and Notification of Winner: The winner will be randomly chosen from all valid entries received during the Promotion period. Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to choose an alternative qualifier or possible winner in the event that a qualifier or possible winner has been disqualified or is deemed ineligible, in Sponsor’s sole discretion.

   Once the selection of the winner is complete, the selected winner will be notified no later than December 15, 2024 at 11:59 pm ET via the email address provided upon entry. Failure to respond within 48 hours of receipt of the direct message may result in disqualification and awarding of prize to another entrant. Sponsor is not responsible for any change in an entrant’s email address or other contact information. Sponsor is not obligated to attempt to notify potential winners by any other method or means of communication.

9. Terms & Conditions: In the event that the operation, security, or administration of the Sweepstakes is impaired in any way for any reason, including, but not limited to fraud, virus, bug, worm, unauthorized human intervention, or other technical problem, or in the event the Sweepstakes is unable to run as planned for any other reason, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion, the Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, either (a) suspend the Sweepstakes to address the impairment and then resume the Sweepstakes in a manner that best conforms to the spirit of these Official Rules or (b) terminate the Sweepstakes and, in the event of termination, award the prize at random from among the eligible, non-suspect entries received up to the time of the impairment. The Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Sweepstakes or to be acting in violation of these Official Rules or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. Any attempt by any person to damage the website or undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes may be a violation of criminal and civil law, and, should such an attempt be made, the Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages (including attorney’s fees) and any other remedies from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. Failure by the Sponsor to enforce any provision of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision

   In the event of a dispute about the identity of the entrant, entries made online will be declared made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at time of entry. An authorized account holder is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. The potential winner may be required to provide Sponsor with proof that the potential winner is the authorized account holder of the e-mail address associated with the winning entry. Taxes on prize and all expenses related to acceptance and use of prize and not specified are the sole responsibility of winner. Winners of prizes valued at $600 or more will be issued an IRS 1099 Form for the value of the prize.

10. Limitation of Liability: By participating in the Sweepstakes, entrants agree to release and hold harmless the Sponsor, and each of their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, other companies associated with the Sweepstakes, and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, shareholders, representatives, and agents (the Released Parties) from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in the Sweepstakes or receipt or use of the prize (including any travel or activity related thereto), including, but not limited to: (a) any technical errors associated with the Sweepstakes, including lost, interrupted or unavailable Internet Service Provider (ISP), network, server, wireless service provider, or other connections, availability or accessibility or miscommunications or failed computer, satellite, telephone, cellular tower or cable transmissions, lines, or technical failure or jumbled, scrambled, delayed, or misdirected transmissions or computer hardware or software malfunctions, failures or difficulties; (b) unauthorized human intervention in the Sweepstakes; (c) mechanical, network, electronic, computer, human, printing or typographical errors; (d) lost, late, incomplete, garbled, illegible, undelivered, stolen, damaged, delayed, postage-due or misdirected mail, entries, application downloads, (e) any other errors or problems in connection with the Sweepstakes, including, without limitation, errors that may occur in the administration of the Sweepstakes, the announcement of the winner, the cancellation or postponement of the event and/or the flyover, if applicable, the incorrect downloading of the application the processing of entries application downloads or in any Sweepstakes related materials; or (f) injury, death, losses or damages of any kind, to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrants participation in the Sweepstakes or acceptance, receipt or misuse of the prize (including any travel or activity related thereto). Entrant further agrees that in any cause of action, the Released Parties liability will be limited to the cost of entering and participating in the Sweepstakes, and in no event shall the entrant be entitled to receive attorney’s fees. Released Parties are also not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by site users, tampering, hacking, or by any equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Sweepstakes. Entrant waives the right to claim any damages whatsoever, including, but not limited to, punitive, consequential, direct, or indirect damages.

    By entering the Sweepstakes, you release Sponsor and all Released Parties from any liability whatsoever, and waive any and all causes of action, related to any claims, costs, injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with the Sweepstakes or delivery, misdelivery, acceptance, possession, use of or inability to use any prize (including, without limitation, claims, costs, injuries, losses and damages related to personal injuries, death, damage to or destruction of property, rights of publicity or privacy, defamation or portrayal in a false light, whether intentional or unintentional), whether under a theory of contract, tort (including negligence), warranty or other theory.

    Except where prohibited by law, entry into the Sweepstakes constitutes permission to use winner’s name, hometown, likeness and/or prize information, without limitation, for promotional purposes without further permission or compensation.

    Winner acknowledges that Sponsor and all other businesses concerned with this Sweepstake and their agents do not make, nor are in any manner responsible for any warranty, representations, expressed or implied, in fact or in law, relative to the quality, conditions, fitness or merchantability of any aspect of prize except that prize shall be subject to manufacturer’s stated warranty.

11. Privacy: Any personal information supplied by you will be subject to the privacy policy of the Sponsor posted at https://sportsbettingalliance.org/privacy-policy/. By entering the Sweepstakes, you grant Sponsor permission to share your email address and any other personally identifiable information with the other Sweepstakes Entities for the purpose of administration and prize fulfillment, including use in a publicly available Winners list.
12. Disputes: THIS SWEEPSTAKES IS GOVERNED BY, AND WILL BE CONSTRUED IN ACCORDANCE WITH, THE LAWS OF THE COMMONWEALTH OF VIRGINIA, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. BY ENTERING INTO THIS SWEEPSTAKES, YOU CONSENT TO THE JURISDICTION OF THE FEDERAL AND STATE COURTS LOCATED IN VIRGINIA FOR ANY ACTION OR DISPUTE ARISING FROM OR IN CONNECTION THESE OFFICIAL RULES. YOU AGREE THAT, TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ANY AND ALL DISPUTES, CLAIMS, AND CAUSES OF ACTION ARISING OUT OF OR CONNECTED WITH THIS SWEEPSTAKES AND/OR THESE OFFICIAL RULES, WILL BE RESOLVED INDIVIDUALLY ON YOUR OWN BEHALF, WITHOUT RESORT TO ANY FORM OF CLASS ACTION, PURPORTED CLASS OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING OR MASS ACTION. YOU FURTHER AGREE TO WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL. DO NOT ENTER INTO THIS SWEEPSTAKES IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THE FOREGOING PROVISIONS.
13. Winners List: The name of the winner(s) is available only within 30 days after the close of the Sweepstakes. You may request the name of the winner(s), where permitted by law, or a printed copy of the Sweepstakes Official Rules by email at [email protected].

14. Agreement to Official Rules: Participation in the Sweepstakes constitutes your full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding.
